UpLift Austin transforms public schools into sites of unexpected color, spirit and opportunity by
educating youth in the fundamentals of sustainable design through the real-life renovation of
their own schools. Through hands-on projects led by local design professionals, students learn
about promising “green” career fields and sustainable living practices. |

Session topics include forgiveness, communication, conflict resolution, peace-keeping, anger management, truancy and making right choices. Also included is a complimentary dinner, childcare, and family care support. |
| Launch Pad The Center Blueprint 360 Leadership Program The program’s purpose is to address the many issues that impact disadvantaged youth including negative peer pressure, gaps in parenting, and early exposure to negative pathways ie. drugs, gangs, and violence. We hope to reinforce positive values and behavior that can help them move toward personal responsibility and leadership. |
| Palmer Drug Abuse Program of Austin Preserving Their Future PDAP’s mission is to help young people ages 13-25 in central Texas who are using and abusing drugs. PDAP supports youth in their courageous and difficult struggle to achieve healthy personal, educational, vocational, and family goals. The family program consists of twelve-step recovery services, meets and support groups. |
| Morning Star Rising Girls Empowering Project Morning Star Rising is a unique four-stage project designed to help adolescent girls make a successful transition to young adulthood by creating the steps to bridge the gap between middle school and high school. |
| Lisa’s Hope Chest W.E. ANGELS W.E. ANGELS stands for Women Experiencing Achieving New Goals and Envisioning Life's Successes. It is an intensive life skills program that teaches women how to assert themselves and improve their lives. |
| La Fuente Learning Center Youth Survival Skills The Survival Skills for Youth program consists of a series of workshops that focus on school-to-work transition skills such as communications, money management, assertiveness, study, getting and keeping a job. |
| Lisa’s Hope Chest S.T.E.P. Forward The program offers a series of classes to males aged 14-25 who are considered at-risk for success in the adult world; they all have histories of academic failure or a poor record in employment settings. |
| Catholic Charities of Central Texas Young Parents Succeed Program Young parents work with an education specialist in one-on-one sessions to identify key personal and professional goals that can be incorporated into a long-term work plan for achieving self sufficiency. |

| GEN Austin clubGEN in East Austin clubGEN is a program for middle school girls that employs high school girls to facilitate a research-based curriculum proven to prevent girls from high risk behaviors which lead to juvenile delinquency and pregnancy. |
| River City Youth Foundation I Can Be Me – Dove Springs Dove Springs is one of the areas of Texas most at risk for juvenile delinquency. RCYF focuses its efforts on programs aimed at helping youth lead happier lives, obtain a good education and experience success. |
| Girl Scouts Uniquely Me Self Esteem Program The Uniquely Me! Self-Esteem Program addresses the issue of low self-esteem among girls aged 8-17 by offering a curriculum that builds an understanding of self-esteem and how to foster it in themselves and in others. |
| Council for At-Risk Youth STARY Nearly 60% of boys classified as bullies by age 14 go on to be convicted of at least one crime by age 24. STARY (Successful Transitioning for At-Risk Youth) is working to reduce that statistic in Austin schools. |
| Family Link Children with Disabilities Family Link helps children with disabled brothers or sisters overcome their fears in addition to empowering youth with disabilities and their families to improve their relationships with one another. |
| True Light Daycare & Learning Center True Ladies House The True Light Ladies house for the homeless began in September 2006 with the mission to help homeless single women and teens to get back on their feet after shortcomings with drugs, abusive relationships, alcoholism, and rehabilitation for drugs and even prison. The ladies participate in parenting classes, child nutrition, personal finance, life management skills, basic computer skills, job trainng, and interview skills. |
