Creative writing workshops for senior citizens. By following the activities of a practicing professional writer—analytical reading, writing, editing, revising, publishing, and public performance—participants in the Silver Voices in Ink program learn to make their experiences intelligible to wide audiences while reaping significant gains in self-esteem, emotional and mental health, independence, and self-worth.

Healthy Aging is an outreach program providing home-based counseling focused on the unique needs of the older adults in our community with limited mobility. We provide counseling for depression, anxiety, elder abuse, grief and loss, family discord, end of life issues and many other problems that threaten an older adults' mental health and quality of life.

The largest volunteer home repair effort in Austin, Hands on Housing repairs and revitalizes homes for older homeowners that cannot afford to do needed repairs and enable them to remain in their own homes.

Family Eldercare provides services to over 5,000 people a year. This program provides case management and coordination services to clients including: in-home care; bill payer; shelter programs; and, information on benefit programs.

MAP was organized because of the need for art-based activities for seniors to help reduce anxiety, build self-esteem and develop social skills. The mission is to deliver art activities to seniors and individuals with limited mobility.

In addition to its other programs, Meals on Wheels and More also delivers hot meals to the elderly on weekends. This program also includes volunteers making regular check-in calls to homebound clients.

Services for the Elderly enhances the dignity and independence of the elderly by providing compassionate, quality care. It provides Personal Assistance Services which are provided by agency attendants in the client's home.
